A support mechanism for a driving shaft in an automatic transmission for vehicles, in which a driving shaft is supported rotatably at both end portions (1A), (1C) and an intermediate portion (1B) thereof with the quantity of clearance at the intermediate supported portion of the shaft set larger than those at both end supported portions, for the purpose of preventing the portions of the driving shaft which are between the fulcrums thereof from being vibrated, and advantageously eliminating the difficulties, which occur due to the three-point supporting structure of the support mechanism, in an assembling operation including a shaft-centering operation. A support mechanism for a driving shaft in an automatic transmission for vehicles, which transmission has an input side driving shaft (14), and an output shaft (1) arranged coaxially with and in series with respect to the driving shaft (14), for the purpose of effectively preventing the end portion of the output shaft which is on the input side from being vibrated, and reducing the axial length of a driving shaft as a whole, characterized in that the output shaft (1) is supported at its input-side end rotatably on an automatic transmission case via the rear end portion of the input side driving shaft (14), and at its output-side end rotatably on the automatic transmission case. |
