PURPOSE:To obtain an amide of high concentration without markedly lowered activity of the microorganism by combining an amphoteric surfactant with a microorganism of nitrile hydrase activity and allowing them to react with a nitrile compound. CONSTITUTION:A microorganism in Pseudomonas with nitrile hydrase activity is combined with an amphoteric surfactant, preferably phosphatid-yl choline and they are allowed to react with a nitrile such as acetonitrile or acrylonitrile to give the subject amide such as acetamide or methacrylamide. The amphoteric surfactant is more preferably 1,2-dimyristylamide-1,2-deoxyphosphatidylcholine. |
