PURPOSE:To give a musical sound sequential variation effect such as slur effect which is rich in variation by providing a waveform varying means which varies the musical sound waveform of the musical sound generated by a sequential varying function according to variation in the pitch of the musical sound. CONSTITUTION:When supplied with a slur start signal SS, a slur effect circuit 9 outputs a key code KC which varies successively from a sound before a slur to a sound after the slur. When the slur start signal SS is not supplied, the key code KC outputted by a keying detecting circuit 2 is outputted as it is. A tone generator 10 has the pitch of the key code KC outputted by the slur effect circuit 9 to generate digital musical sound data GD which varies successively having the waveform determined according to both a timbre code NC outputted from a timbre detecting circuit 6 and the key code KC. Consequently, the sequential variation effect such as slur effect which is rich in variation can be added to the musical sound. |
