PURPOSE:To reduce a cost and to prevent unnecessary great amount of toner supply by allowing the toner to be supplied to a developing device from a toner hopper by means of operating two operation keys. CONSTITUTION:When power source is applied, a microcomputer 25 is initially set, and a number 1 is displayed on a 7 segment element 23 as a copying number. Then, the presence of paper jamming, etc. is detected, if there is no trouble such as paper jamming, an operater sets the copying number to be 0 by operating a copying number appointing key 22 on the right side, and when a copy start key 19 is operated, a main motor and a toner motor 28 are operated for a certain period of time. Therefore, a sponge roll rolls with such operation, and the fixed amount of toner is supplied to the developing device 7 from the toner hopper. During this period, the main motor 27 revolves, and the process such as uniforming of the surface electric potential of a photosensitive drum is performed by such revolution. Thus, the cost is reduced, and the toner supply by mistake is eliminated. |
