<p>The device comprises two conveyors (8, 9) whose active belts (19) extend on either side of the moving products (4) and are equipped with pivoting poles (41) connected in pairs at the bottom by means of a disconnectable framework (42) extending between the conveyors in order to support a product by inclining it in the sloping portions (27, 28) of the path. According to the invention, each conveyor (8, 9) extends in a vertical plane so that its return belt (20) extends above the active belt (19). The lower ends of the poles (41) are capable of interacting with inclined end ramps (56, 57; 59, 60) connected by a guide path (61; 62) arranged under the return belt (20) of each conveyor in order to flatten the said poles.
