PURPOSE:To enable to print an underlined character row by one head movement by upwardly shifting a character pattern when an underlining mechanism is operated and writing the prescribe line at the lower side all with black dots. CONSTITUTION:An underlining process is performed by an underlining program in an ROM 14. The fact that an underlining start order is fed is detected, and an underlining flag is energized. In case that an underline starting flag is ON when a kanji pattern corresponding to the kanji code is read from an RAM 12, an underlining program is executed, and an underlined kanji pattern is formed as shown in (b) and is written. The flag is interrupted by the underline end order. |
