PURPOSE:To obtain a toner compsn. to be used suitably to a high speed copying machine by using a resin mixture consisting of a crosslinked styrene/acrylic ester copolymer, and aromatic linear polyester resin as resin binder, and regulating specifically a storage elasticity in melted state and loss tangent of the resin mixture. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic toner contains a resin mixture consisting of 99-55wt.% crosslinked styrene/acrylic ester copolymer and 5-45wt.% aromatic linear polyester, as resin binder, and the storage elasticity G' in melted state and the loss tangent (tan delta) thereof are regulated to specified values. G' and tan delta are defined by a synthesized curve obtd. by the measurements with a cone plate viscometer, wherein values at 90-240 deg.C and 10<-1>-6.3X10<2>rad/s angular frequency (omega) are plotted basing on a value at 160 deg.C. The storage elasticity (G') and the tangent loss at omega=10<-2>rad/s are regulated to G'=10<3>-5X10<4>drn/ cm<2>, and tan delta=0.3-1.1. Thus, an electrophotographic toner to be suitably used in a high speed copying machine is obtd. |
