PURPOSE:To extend the range of speech of a handset by enabling one handset to be used in plural zones by storing plural system identification codes in the handset or a base unit. CONSTITUTION:The system identification codes IDA-IDC are stored in the ROMs 241A-241C of the base units 2A-2C, respectively, and the identification codes IDA-IDC are stored in the RAM 141 of the handset 1. For example, in call issuing, command signals with the identification codes IDA-IDC are transmitted from the handset 1 to the base units 2A-2C, and the base units 2A-2C permit transmission/reception with the handset 1 if either received identification codes IDA-IDC coincides with the identification codes of the base units 2A-2C. In such a way, since one handset can be used in plural service areas, the range of speech of the handset can be extended. |
