The improved brake apparatus includes a floating valve member (148) in a vertical hydraulic mechanism designed for simple and efficient performance, an improved linkage (24) that provides increased mechanical advantage, self-adjusting retraction screws (174) that allow for customary pad wear, an improved housing clamp (20) for mounting the housing to the handlebar (16) and an enhanced hose fitting (172) that is likewise designed for simple, effective performance.</p> |
