PURPOSE:To obtain a direct positive color photographic sensitive material capable of providing a direct positive color picture image having high maximum image density and low minimum image density by incorporating a specified compd. and a compd. capable of liberating another specified compd. into the direct positive color photographic sensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The direct positive color photographic sensitive material contains a compd. expressed by the formula I and a compd. capable of liberating a compd. expressed by the formula II. In the formula I, each Za and Zb is =N-; each R<1> and R<2> is an H atom or a substituent; X is a group which is eliminated by a coupling reaction with H, etc. In the formula II, R<m1> is a divalent aromatic group; R<m2> is an H atom, etc.; G is a carbonyl group, etc.; each R<m3> and R<m4> is an H atom, or either one of them is an alkyl sulfonyl group when another is an H atom; A is a group which prompts adsorption to silver halide; L is a divalent joint group. Thus, a direct positive color photographic sensitive material capable of forming rapidly and stably a color picture image having high maximum developed color density and particularly, a low minimum image density by processing with a color developing soln. having a low pH, is obtd. |
