PURPOSE:To obtain the material which is inexpensive, is high in efficiency and is easy to handle by introducing assymetric carbons therein. CONSTITUTION:This material is the nonlinear optical materials which have the assymetric carbons and arom. rings and are expressed by the formulas I to IV. This material can be used in a powder state, a film state by vapor deposition, casting, etc., a crystalline state or after the material is worked by a melting method to arbitrary shapes. The strength higher than the strength of urea is obtd. in this way and the nonlinear optical materials having functions of optical higher harmonic wave generation, light wavelength conversion including light mixing, optical rectification, optical memory, and optical logical operations and the org. nonlinear optical materials which have the high efficiency and are utilized in the fields of electronics and optoelectronics are obtd. in this way. |
