PURPOSE:To obtain a flame-retarding and waterproof laminated film having a sufficient thickness on a flame-retarding fabric base by repeating a decreased number of operations and to facilitate the operation in atmospheric open system by impregnating the fabric base with a suspension of a fluororesin, drying the base, baking it, subjecting it to a corona discharge treatment and repeating the procedure including these operations. CONSTITUTION:A flame-retarding or nonburning fabric base, for example, a glass fiber cloth base is impregnated with a suspension of a fluororesin (desirably polytetrafluoroethylene), dried and baked to form a baked fluororesin layer on the base. The concentration of the fluororesin of this suspension is desirably 500-1200g/l. A high voltage is applied between a roller which supports the base and an electrode opposite to the roller to subject the surface of the base to a corona discharge treatment. The procedure including the impregnation with the fluororesin, drying and baking is repeated to form a flame-retarding laminated film on the base. |
