PURPOSE:To automatize the removal of a packing material and improve the efficiency by moving a suction pad fixing plate installed to a holding unit backward through a gap between a pair of holding rollers, in the state one of the edges of the cut packing material being sucked and held. CONSTITUTION:When suction pads 33a installed to the front surface of a suction pad fixing plate 33 are brought into abutted state and sucked by vacuum suction on a packing material 2a wound on the whole side faces of a package 2, said packing material 2a is held and fixed vertically. The hot air cutter 25 of a cutting unit descends while jetting hot air downward from the upper part and a part of the packing material 2a wound into strip form is cut vertically. The pad fixing plate 33 moves backward through a gap E between a pair of holding rollers 41 and 42 confronting to each other with one of the edges of the cut packing material 2a sucked and held. Thereby a part of the packing material 2a is peeled and interposed between the holding rollers 41 and 42. The backward movement of the rod of a cylinder 48 moves the driven holding roller 41 toward the holding roller 42 and a part of the packing material 2a is held with the rollers. |
