PURPOSE:To enhance electrostatic characteristics, especially, photodecay performance and to improve image formation performance by using a binder compsn. consisting essentially of a specific mixture of an acrylate type copolymer and a compd. obtained by indirectly combining at least carboxylic group with an aromatic group, and of a photoconductive powder. CONSTITUTION:The binder compsn. consists essentially of a resin compsn. 99.8- 90wt% copolymer obtained by copolymerizing 30wt% (meth)acrylate prepared by reacting straight or branched 11-13C monoalcohol with (meth)acrylic acid, alpha,beta- monoethylenically unsatd. carboxylic acid, and when necessary, other polymerizable vinyl monomer, said copolymer having an average mol.wt. of 1,000-100,000, a glass transition point of 0-80 deg.C, and an acid value of 2-30, and 0.2-10.0wt% compd. obtained by combining >=1 carboxylic group indirectly with the aromatic ring, and of a photoconductive powder. As a result, every requirement of electrostatic characteristics and image formation performance and other properties can be satisfied. |
