PURPOSE:To restrain dispersions of solidified structure and segregation and to prevent generation of crack caused by the segregation by electromagnetically- stirring so that equiaxial crystal ratio in unsolidified remaining molten steel and stirring thrust in secondary cooling zone become the specific values at the time of continuously casting the molten steel. CONSTITUTION:In the process for continuously casting the molten steel, the unsolidified remaining molten steel L in the secondary cooling zone is electromagnetically-stirred so as to satisfy each condition, which the equiaxial crystal ratio is <=25% and the stirring thrust F is the range of 0.2X10<4=F<=1.0X10<4>(N/m<2>) at the same time. By this method, the suitable equiaxial crystal thickness is maintained to the constant and the dispersions of the solidified structure and the segregation are restrained. |
