<p>PURPOSE:To execute efficient scrap melting with a little consumption of carbonaceous material by using a top and bottom combined blowing converter arranging plural pieces of side blow tuyeres for blowing oxygen gas at side wall position submerged into molten metal at the time of melting the whole quantity of scraps, specifying the oxygen supplying ratio and executing the blowing. CONSTITUTION:At the side wall position submerged into the molten metal at the time of melting the whole quantity of the scraps 6, the plural pieces of side blow tuyeres 1 directing horizontal or upward and having 45-75 deg. horizontal angle to the tangent line of a converter 2 outer shell are arranged as inclining to the same direction. By this constitution, coke is laid on the bottom in the converter 2 at about 100-180kg/t of the scrap and the oxygen gas is blown from at least one among the top blow lance 4, side blow tuyere 1 and bottom blow tuyere 5, and after igniting to the coke 3, the scrap 6 is charged. Successively, the oxygen gas is blown while adjusting the oxygen supplying ratio from the top blow lance 4, side blow tuyeres 1 and bottom blow tuyeres 5 so as to satisfy the inequality to execute the melting of the scrap 6. By this method, the scrap 6 melting is stably executed for a short time.</p> |
