<p>A roller in the roll comprising the rotatable provision of the approximately drum-shaped roller on the arched roller has its axial external peripheral line equipped with the part which is under the horizontal state or the small curved state. The article to be passed which is traveled on such a part with the contact made therebetween is traveled in a stable manner without giving rise to a distorted permanent set thereon, and receives the force of extending the same in its cross direction. This force makes it possible to stretch the wrinkle on the article to be passed, prevent the wrinkle from taking place thereon, and, if necessary, to extend the same in its cross direction.</p> |
