PURPOSE:To prevent the quality of an image from deteriorating by providing oil supply means for supplying oil to the contact of a recording electrode with a resistance layer. CONSTITUTION:A recording operation is conducted by interposing an ink film 2 and a recording sheet 3 between a recording head 1 and a platen 4 and transfer recording while conveying in a direction of an arrow A. In this case, an oil supply roller 9 is rotated in a direction of an arrow B, the surface of a resistance layer 23 is coated with oil 0, moved together with the ink film 2 in a direction of an arrow A, and supplied to the contact of the recording head 1 with the ink film 2. A substrate 12 is brought into contact with a resistance layer 23 by the elastic deformation of the ink film 2, the recording sheet 3 and the platen 4, the oil 0 is filled between the substrate 12 and the resistance layer 23, adjacent recording electrodes are electrically connected via the oil 0, but the volumetric resistivity of the oil 0 is very large, and a current for affecting the quality of an image does not flow. Since the oil 0 follows to the fine uneven part on the surface of the resistance layer 23 to be filled directly under the recording electrode 11, the contact of the recording electrode 11 with the resistance layer 23 is stabilized. |
