PURPOSE:To improve the transfer properties to an image receiving material by a thermal head by forming a thermal transfer sheet by providing a carrier layer of two kinds of specific dyes dispersed or dissolved in a resin binder to one surface of a base sheet. CONSTITUTION:A dye represented by formula I (wherein X1 and X2 are H, a halogen atom, a trifluoromethyl group, an alkyl group or an alkoxy group) and a dye represented by formula II (wherein R is an aryl group or an alkyl group, R1 and R2 are an alkyl group, Z is H, a halogen atom, an alkyl group or an acylamino group and Y is H, a halogen atom, an alkyl group or alkoxy group) are dispersed or dissolved in a resin binder to prepare a coating solution. This coating solution is applied to one surface of a base sheet such as condenser paper or a polyester resin sheet and dried to prepare a thermal transfer sheet having a dye carrier layer formed thereto. |
