PURPOSE:To miniaturize a power conversion device by connecting a low voltage holding circuit in parallel to a current controller and by putting it nonconductive when the load current is less than the specified value. CONSTITUTION:A power conversion device for a rolling stock is composed of an inverter circuit 1 and a DC filter circuit 2 and feeds a current to a load 3 such as an air conditioner, etc. A low voltage holding circuit 4 and a thyristor CHS as a current controller are connected between a DC reactor and a capacitor. A controller 5 gives an interruption signal to the gate of the above thyristor CHS and putting it nonconductive when the current detected by a current detector 6 is less than the specified value. |
