发明名称 INK JET RECORDING APPARATUS
摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent jetting in a slantwise direction thereby to improve recording density by providing an electrode at the center of a slit which can apply a voltage between said electrode and a platen, so that an ink is jetted out by the acoustic energy and coulomb force. CONSTITUTION:An electric signal applied to piezoelectric elements 14, 15 is synchronized with a voltage signal applied between an electrode 17 and a platen 16. An electrode which corresponds to the recording position is selected through scanning of electrode signals. When an electric charge is injected into an ink from the electrode 17, coulomb force is activated between the electrode and platen 16. Accordingly, the ink is jetted by the acoustic energy from the piezoelectric elements 14, 15 and the coulomb force, and turned into ink drops 21, with recording a recording paper 22. In this case, once the ink drops 21 are jetted to a direction along a line of electric force between the electrode 7 and platen 16, the ink drops move straight towards the platen, and therefore prevented from being jetted in a slantwise direction. Moreover, the recording density is dependent on the electrode density, making it unnecessary to divide the piezoelectric elements 14, 15. The electrode density may be 8 dots/mm, which can realize high recording density.
