<p>PURPOSE:To regenerate a catalyst efficiently by treating a Pd carrying catalyst recovered from a dehalogenated reaction mixture to bring a halogenated aromatic compound into contact with hydrogen in alkali water solution in hydrogen halide aq. solution. CONSTITUTION:A halogenated aromatic compound is brought into contact with hydrogen in alkali water solution in the presence of a palladium carrying catalyst and dehalogenation reacted, and a palladium carrying catalyst is recovered from a mixture after reaction. Said recovered catalyst is immersed in hydrogen halide aq. solution to regenerate the palladium carrying catalyst and recover its activity. As the hydrogen halide aq. solution used in regeneration, hydrochloric acid, hydrobromic acid and hydroiodic acid are used, and hydrochloric acid is most suitable. The concentration of hydrogen halide is usually 0.001-20wt.%, and 0.1-10wt.% is suitable.</p> |
