PURPOSE:To carry out the oxidation reaction of a substrate such as an olefin under mild condition in high efficiency by using a metal porphyrin in combina tion with a peroxide as a catalyst having increased activity. CONSTITUTION:The oxidation of olefins, acetylenes, tert amines, disulfides, alkyl sulfides, etc. (e.g. cyclohexene or N,N-dimethylaniline) is carried out at 10-50 deg.C using a fixed metal porphyrin in combination with a peroxide as a catalyst. The fixed metal porphyrin is e.g. a metal porphyrin fixed on cellulose or silica gel or a compound of formula I or II (the ring M is metal porphyrin; M is Cu, Ag, Au, Ca, Mn, etc.; Ar is aromatic group; l, m and n are integer of >=1; R is H or alkyl) and is produced e.g. by reacting porphyrin with a metal salt and fixing the product to a carrier. |
