PROCESS FOR PRODUCING L-TYROSINE

Recombinant DNA contg a DNA fragment isolated from a microorganism of the genus Corynebacterium or Brevibacterium and bearing genetic infomation responsible for synthesis of 3-deoxy-D- arabinohepturosonate-7-phosphate synthase (I) and chorismate mutase and capable of conferring resistance to a phenylalanine-or-tyrosine analogue in a micro-organism of the Corynebacterium or Brevibacterium genus. Prodn. of L-tyrosine comprises introducing into the micro- organism having the ability to produce L-typtophan, a recombinant DNA.
