PURPOSE:To improve cracking resistance at high temp. by irradiating the surface of ceramics with a prescribed number of Au, Ag or Pt ions. CONSTITUTION:The surface of ceramics is irradiated with 1X10<17>-1X10<18> metal ions of one or more among Au, Ag and Pt per 1cm<2> of the surface to be irradiated. When the surface of the ceramics is irradiated with Pt ions, the ceramics is not a silicon compd. A ceramic material having superior cracking resistance even at high temp. is obtd. |
