<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the risk of receiving an electric shock and leak by a method wherein when a plug is mounted in a plug receptor, a power transmission coil and a power reception coil are connected so that high-frequency power is supplied to the power reception coil. CONSTITUTION:When a plug 16 is mounted in a plug receptor 13, high-frequency power is induced in a power reception coil 14 by magnetic-field induction from a power transmission coil 17. The power transmission coil 17 and the power reception coil 14 are wound around U-shaped cores having high magnetic permeability and high inherent resistance, and these U-shaped cores are positioned so as to oppose to each other. Therefore, it is difficult for magnetic fluxes to leak to the outside, and power is transmitted efficiently. As above, power from a commercial power source is transmitted without contact via a power-supply cord 20, a high-frequency conversion circuit 18, the power transmission coil 17 and a power reception coil 14. Further, this high-frequency power is supplied to a low-frequency conversion circuit 23 where it is converted to a substantially commercial frequency power suitable for the operation of a power load 25. That power is then supplied to the power load 25 via an output cord 24, and an apparatus 15 performs a desired operation. As a result, the risk of receiving an electric shock and leak can be eliminated.</p> |
