<p>PURPOSE:To early detect abnormality of a device to improve safety of the device by determining a current value to be fed to an auxiliary steering motor in response to output of a steering torque sensor based on a current command value before a current is fed to the auxiliary steering motor. CONSTITUTION:When a steering handle is steered, a current command determining circuit 1 determines a current value energizing an auxiliary steering motor 7 based on output of a torque sensor 6 for detecting the steering. The determined current value is inputted through a current command output circuit 2 to a power circuit 3 to drive and control the auxiliary steering motor 7. The current value fed to the steering auxiliary motor 7 is detected by a current detecting resistor 4 and compared to a command value by a comparison circuit 5a to monitor eddy current and energizing in reverse direction. In this case, output of the current command output circuit 2 is also inputted to the comparison circuit 5a. Abnormality of the device can thus be early detected by verifying the current command value itself.</p> |
