PURPOSE:To attain the unitary control of different operating systems OS by transforming the control structure of the OS in accordance with a designated architecture when an initial program is loaded. CONSTITUTION:An architecture designating means 12 designates a 1st or 2nd architecture with which an information system works. An OS loading means 21 loads a 1st OS 11A into a main storage from an external memory 1. An OS transforming means 22 transforms the control structure of the OS 11A loaded into the main memory via the means 21 into that of a 2nd OS 11B as long as the means 12 designates the 2nd architecture. Thus the OS B11 is formed on the main storage. As a result, the unitary control is attained for different OSs regardless of the types of architectures.
