For sheath-packing a stack of coins, this device consists of a support sole-plate 1 surmounted partially by a translucent sheet- calibrating plate 3 for forming sheaths; a vertical support 2, 13 mounted on this sole-plate; rigid tubular cylindrical mandrels M, of various diameters, which are matched to those of the coins to be packed, each permitting the production of a sheath which is closed at one end, by rolling up a corresponding calibrated sheet, and which are mounted removably on the vertical support; and tubular cylindrical housings L which are closed via a base perforated at their lower ends, having various internal diameters corresponding with the external diameters of the sheaths formed on the mandrels M, each adapted to receive a sheath internally with a view to filling it with a stack of coins and having a length corresponding to the height of the stack which is to be packed, each of these tubular housings being mounted vertically and removably on the vertical support, opposite the corresponding mandrel for forming the sheath. <IMAGE>
