MANUFACTURE OF SOLID SECONDARY BATTERY

PURPOSE:To retard expansion in charge-discharge by arranging layers mainly comprising an electrode material and a binder on both sides of a layer mainly comprising an electrolyte layer and a binder, and by continuously pressing them with a plurality of presses having different temperatures to unite them. CONSTITUTION:Layers mainly comprising an electrode material and a binder are arranged on both sides of a layer mainly comprising an electrolyte and a binder and they are continuously pressed with a plurality of roller presses having different temperatures ranging from temperature higher than the melting point of the binder to that lower than it to unite them. Each layer is strongly bonded compared with that pressed at only temperature higher than the melting point. By bonding the periphery of a cell with two plates, swelling in charge- discharge is retarded and a solid secondary battery having high performance is manufactured.
