<p>PURPOSE:To monitor a distance between cars and to execute warning to a driver at a suitable time by providing respective means which find a range between the preceding and following cars, hold and command measurement data, process both holded and measured data and execute the warning according to the processed result. CONSTITUTION:A measuring means 6 is provided to emit an acoustic wave, to receive a reflected wave from an objective car, to calculate the distance and to send distance data to a holding means 3 and a processing means 4 and a switching circuit 2 is provided to command data holding by interlocking to parking or foot brake. Further, the means 3 is provided to hold the data according to the command of the circuit 2 and to send these data to the means 4, the means 4 is provided to compare the holded data with the distance data and to send a necessary decided result to a warning means 4 and th means 5 is provided to generate the warning by a sound, etc. The distance between the preceding and following card is monitored even while the cars are stopped. Then, even when the car is moved against the intension of the driver, the warning is generated and an accident can be prevented. For the range finding means, a visible light and an invisible electro-magnetic wave can be used as well.</p> |
