PURPOSE:To improve corrosion resistance of an expansion joint by constituting a metal bellows by an alloy of Ni, Cr, Mn, Si and C in specific weight % respectively with the remaining part, to which Mo in more than a specific weight % is added. CONSTITUTION:As corrosion resistance against sulfuric acid can be drastically improved without spoiling mechanical strength by constituting a metal bellows 7 by an alloy of 15 to 17 weight % of Ni, 16 to 19 weight % of Cr, less than 2.5 weight % of Mn, less than 1 weight % of Si, less than 0.04 weight % of C and the remaining part, to which more than 4 weight % of Mo is added, not only extension of the life of the metal bellows 7 but also of an expansion joint can be contrived. |
