The air-conditioning appliance intended to be associated with a window of a room to be air-conditioned consists of an internal unit located inside the said room and an external unit located outside the latter. It includes a casing 1 comprising an upper part and a lower part which are separated by a partition 15, the first one including an air inlet 7 into the room and an air outlet intended to discharge towards the outside of this room the air which has undergone a heat exchange, these parts being mounted on the window so as to extend forwards, starting from the upper part of the casing, and having a thin shape. The rest of the cold generator 11 is mounted in the lower part.
