PURPOSE:To improve the dispersion stability of a coupler to an emulsion and the reactivity and to attain satisfactory max. density of a developed color by incorporating a specified coupler. CONSTITUTION:A yellow coupler represented by formula I is incorporated into a sensitive material. In the formula I, R1 is alkyl, aryl, etc., each of R2 and B is a group substitutable on a benzene ring, Z is -N(-R4)-R5 or -O-R6, each of R3 and R5 is H, alkyl, etc., each of R4 and R6 is alkyl or aryl and each of X and Y is H or a group substitutable on a benzene ring. The yellow coupler may be a compd. represented by formula II (where R1 is (CH3)3C-, Ar1 is a group represented by formula III and Ar2 is a group represented by formula IV), two or more kinds of such compds. may be sued in combination and a pivaloylacetanilide type yellow coupler may further be added. |
