A brake system with antilock control essentially comprises a brake pressure transmitter (1), a servo pressure source (5) and electrically actuatable multi-directional valves (10, 11, 20-23), which serve as inlet and outlet valves and are inserted in the pressure medium lines leading from the brake pressure transmitter (1) to the wheel brakes (VL, HR, VR, HL) and from the wheel brakes to a pressure reservoir (4). A plurality of wheel brakes are connected to by way of a common inlet valve (10, 11) and each by way of a non-return valve (12-15), which opens towards the wheel brake, and each by way of a restrictor (16-19) to the brake pressure transmitter (1). Each wheel brake is connected by way of its own outlet valve (20-23) to the pressure reservoir (4) and by way of a non-return valve (24-27), opening in the return flow direction, to the brake pressure transmitter (1). <IMAGE>
