Gas-introduction apparatus for wastewater sedimentation tanks having a plurality of gas-introduction elements connected to gas feedlines, which gas-introduction elements are arranged in a flat plane essentially horizontally orientated at least over partial areas of the sedimentation tank bottom. The gas-introduction elements, together with their gas feedlines, form a mechanically stable framework which, retaining the horizontal orientation of the gas-introduction elements, can be elevated by means of a lifting device, preferably to above the wastewater surface in the sedimentation tank.
