The invention relates to a symmetrical probe for enzymatic measurements, comprising - a glass body (4), the measuring end thereof having a polished front surface (1), and comprising an electrolyte reservoir (14), - a covering diaphragm (10) covering the measuring end with the polished front surface (1) of the glass body (4), - metal measuring electrodes (2, 3) provided within the glass body (4) and ending at the measuring end thereof, being covered by the diaphragm (10), and being connected to connecting wires (12) provided in the glass body (4), - an electrolyte (5) provided in the electrolyte reservoir (14), - an Ag/AgCl reference electrode (6) provided in the longitudinal axis (15) of the electrolyte reservoir (14), and being connected to a connecting wire (12), - a glass tube (13) provided around the Ag/AgCl reference electrode (6), and - an auxiliary electrode (7) provided on the glass tube (13), being arranged symmetrically with respect to the measuring electrodes (2, 3), and being connected to a connecting wire (12). The symmetrical arrangement leads to a considerable improvement of the electrode performances. |
