PURPOSE:To prevent the operator from forgetting to mount a toner recovering vessel, by providing a member, which is moved forward and backward to and from the position where it is detected whether the vessel is mounted or not, in a detecting member which detects the toner quantity in the vessel. CONSTITUTION:When a vessel 9 is filled up with a recovered toner and the light from a light emitting element 6a does not reach a photodetector 6b, the full state is displayed on the surface of a panel by the inverted output signal. When the vessel 9 is removed from the device in this state to abandon the recovered toner, a shutter member 3 released from pressing due to a shoulder part 9a of the vessel 9 is moved to the left by the energizing force of a compression spring 5, and an aperture part 1a is closed to prevent the toner from dropping from a toner discharging case 1, and simultaneously, the optical path of a detector 6 is intercepted by a shield plate 3b to make the device unoperatable, thus preventing dropping of the discharged toner due to erroneous operations. |
