Trickling filter for the biological treatment of water

A trickling filter for the biological treatment of water which bears on both sides a multiplicity of drip rods in opposite axial directions in pairs, each of which has a shared bore hole running through the trickling filter. As a result of the capillary action in the multiplicity of tubes thus formed, microorganisms collect in these which are not washed out when the trickling filter is cleaned.
