Step or platform for a stepladder

The invention relates to a step or platform for a stepladder which exhibits strings, having a plurality of protrusions which extend at mutual spacings from one string to the other and jut out from the top side of the step or platform. The cross-section of the protrusions is in the form of a polygon. The base side of the respective protrusion is arranged such that it is sunk in the step or platform, in doing so forming a channel, and said channel being designed in a manner complementary to that portion of the integrally formed protrusion which projects out of the top side. Each protusion has in each case at least one sharp edge extending in its direction.
