MANUFACTURE OF OUTLET CHAMBER FOR AIR CONDITIONER

PURPOSE:To manufacture an outlet chamber which excels in heat insulation and is easy to manufacture by sizing inorganic fibers such as rock wool with a synthetic high molecular sizing agent of cation group and forming sheets of such material to suit the configuration of the outlet chamber with a V-groove cut in locations where the plate is bent. CONSTITUTION:Inorganic fibers and synthetic high molecules of cation group are scattered to make a suspension 11 in a suspension tank 10. A sheet forming mold 12 in a sheet forming tank 13 receives the supply of the suspension 11 from the suspension tank 10 by means of a circulation pump 14. The sheet forming mold 12 is connected to a dehydrating pump 15 outside the tank. The mold 12 brought into a drying chamber 20 is connected to a vacuum pump 23 to dehydrate the inorganic fiber layer (g) settled out of the suspension. A particular attention was paid to the sizing agent of cation group, and a polystyrene material was chosen for the synthetic high molecules. This is because the anion or nonionic material does not possess the binding effect and is inadequate as a binder for rock wool in terms of strength. The reason why the polystyrene material was chosen is to reduce the moisture absorbing tendency as much as possible and to improve the strength.
