PURPOSE: To accurately install metal cords of a rubber patch on damaged tire cords by setting a width of a rubber layer with the metal cords to a trapezoidally-shaped extended part of a base side of a plug at tread and bead sides of a lengthwise direction of the plug. CONSTITUTION: A patch rubber layer 1 with radial metal cords becomes higher than a mounting surface of a rubberized fabric layer 3 or a rubber layer 4a and has a trapezoidal shape. The layer 1 with metal cords has a variable width similarly to that obtained by extending a side of a base of a trapezoidal plug 2 superposed on the layer 1 and the plug itself. Accordingly, a stepped layer has a length which arrives at one end at a bead, and at the other at a tread. As a result, the rubber patch can be accurately fixed. In other words, the metal cords 5 can be accurately superposed with cords of the tire of lower and upper sides of a window F. Damaged or broken metal cords are removed, and shape and size of the window F are accurately matched to those of the plug 2. |
