PURPOSE:To enable temperature control of a semiconductor laser to be highly accurate and stabilize output by placing a semiconductor laser, a solid laser media, and a resonator into an airtight container retaining an environment where steam is eliminated and taking out laser light from a light-transmission part of the airtight container. CONSTITUTION:In a semiconductor laser excitation solid laser device 18, semiconductor laser 10, a solid laser rod 12, and a resonator 16 are placed within an airtight container retaining an environment where steam is eliminated and solid laser light is taken out of a light-transmission part 22 of the container 20. With this configuration, the laser 10 is temperature-controlled by an electronic cooling element 14 where a cooling surface 14A is in contact with a heat-exchanging part 24 and is less subject to the influence of temperature change due to flow of air near the laser 10, fluctuation of external temperature, etc. Thus. transmission wavelength of the laser 10 becomes constant and a stable output can be obtained. |
