Cable handling and its contacts soldering tool - uses robot to transfer cut lengths of cable to soldering station

An automatic process is used for soldering contacts onto one end of a cable. The insulated cable (1) is fed to a pair of rollers (2) that direct it into a damping unit (3). The cable passes into a unit (4) that cuts into specific lengths. The ends of the cable have the insulation removed by stripping blades (5',5"). The prepared lengths of cable are transferred by a gripper (10) that can be part of a robot unit, to a soldering station. Here a solder wire is fed by a piston (12) through a guide (11) to the soldering point. ADVANTAGE - Provdies automatic preparation and handling of cable for soldering.
