PURPOSE:To improve ignition performance and reduce the number of ignition by making a rotary speed of a burner blower slower than that available during ordinary combustion. CONSTITUTION:When the presence of flowing water in a water supply pipe 17 is detected by a flowing water switch 18, the first thing to do is to operate a burner blower 6, then prepurge a burner 4. After that operation is over, a block solenoid valve 10 and a solenoid valve 13 are opened while an ignition device 36 is also operated. A pressure proportional control valve 14 is controlled so that its valve opening may be proper to ignition. In addition, a rotary speed of the burner 6 is controlled so that its rotary speed may be lower than that proper to a gas supply quantity. In this manner, a flames can be prevented from being blown out during ignition by minimizing a ventilation quantity by the burner blower 6. Since enough air is available around the burner 4 during ignition, there is no trouble that affects ignition. Furthermore, the combustion volume during ignition is smaller than the maximum combustion volume which results in a reduced ignition noise. |
