Hybrid drive device for motor vehicles

A hybrid drive device for a motor vehicle is proposed, comprising an internal combustion engine (1) with special hydrostatic-mechanical torque dividing transmission (3), an electrical machine (10), operatable as a motor fed from a battery (11) or as a generator charging the battery (11), a flywheel (9) and an electronic operating regulator and control device (13). All assemblies are of special design and matched to one another in order to ensure an adequately efficient operation over a sufficient period of time without internal combustion engine for certain areas, especially zones at risk from exhaust emissions, and furthermore to be able to undertake charging and discharging of battery and flywheel, optimally adjusted to operation in the specific driving situation.
