Heavy transportation vehicle (10) having at least two front and two rear, driven wheels (21) which are each arranged together with a steering roller (20) in chassis sub-frames (14) arranged on both sides of a chassis (11, 12). Each driven wheel (21) has a multiplicity of rolling members (25) distributed over its circumference. These rolling members (25) can be rotated individually on a rolling-member axis (53). The rolling-member axes (48) run obliquely with respect to the axis (38) of the respective, driven wheel (21). The rotational speed and direction of rotation of the driven wheels (21) can be controlled separately and individually. A front chassis (11) and a rear chassis (12) are provided between which there is inserted releasably an exchangeable chassis-member frame (13). Each of the chassis (11, 12) is provided with its own driving system (15, 16, 17, 18), which are independent of one another, and each of the driven wheels (21) can be driven via its own mechanical drive train (19) designed as a prop shaft. <IMAGE>
