PURPOSE:To protect plain paper or tags against contamination due to the scratching or retransfer of a thermally fusible ink layer transferred due to the heat of an iron by providing an undercoat on the top of a heat-resistant basic material and then a protective layer and a thermally fusible ink layer one after another. CONSTITUTION:An undercoat layer and a protective layer are sequentially provided between a base and a thermally fusible ink layer. These layers have the function to increase ink transferability and coat the transferred thermally fusible ink for protection. The undercoat layer consists of 0 to 50% by weight of resin and 50 to 100% by weight of wax. The resin used for the layer has a glass transition point at 70 deg.C or less, while the wax used has a penetration of 5 to less at 25 deg.C. In addition, the resin contained in the protective layer has a glass transition point at 65 deg.C or more. The thermally fusible ink layer contains 10 to 30% by weight of coloring agent, 10 to 50% by weight of resin, 20 to 60% by weight of wax and filler. The wax used has a penetration of 10 or less at 25 deg.C and the resin has a glass transition point of 70 deg.C or less. |
