摘要 Application of a compete compress, for e.g. a compress stocking, compress arm, on an extremity without a gliding movement between the bandage and the extremity in question is required for thin skin or open wounds, when the bandage of the actual wound must not be touched. Rubbing and dragging movements on the skin of these patients can be very painful. Glide stockings with little friction and which are easy to apply, somewhat facilitate the slip-on of the compress stocking. A considerable amount of force is however required to slip on a tight-fitting (20 - 60 mm Hg) compression bandage. Further the compression bandage can be rolled onto a rigid, elastic ring, that is passed over the extremity while simultaneously unrolling the compression bandage. This however requires great hand strength.This invention entails that a rigid compression bandage or covering can be applied on an extremity without gliding movement between them. Further the compression bandage/covering does not need to be stretched to the same extent as with the mentioned ring. This means less strength is required for application. Further the pressure is dispersed over a greater area than that of the mentioned elastic ring, where compression of the ring increases for each layer of the compression bandage/covering applied.This invention consists of a pervading invaginated elastic cylinder of for e.g. rubber. The cavity is filled with a substance under pressure, for e.g. air. The inner surfaces creating the cavity are covered with lubricant, for e.g. silicone oil to reduce friction between those inner surfaces that during application of and removal from the extremity can come into contact with each other. The invaginated rubber cylinder is conveyed with the help of an enforcer in the form of an arm or a rod, in a compression bandage, that when needed is distended at this. The bandage is then rolled over the extremity by drawing the arrangement's outer walls with the bandage against the extremity, which acts as an enforcer in the free invagination. The plane of the gliding surface is thereby moved from the compression bandage's extremity to the invaginated cylinder's inner walls, which are in part lubricated and in part held apart by for e.g. air under pressure. The frictional work load is thereby minimal.<IMAGE>
