PURPOSE:To reduce wating time and power consumption and to enhance offset resistance and fixability by heat fixing an image developed with a specified toner to a recording material by using a stationarily supported heating body and a pressing roller opposite to the body and pressing the recording material into close contact with the body by the medium of a film. CONSTITUTION:The toner to be used contains at least a polymer obtained by reacting a polymer of at least one of alpha,beta-ethylenically unsaturated monomers with an organometallic compound. The image developed by this toner is heat fixed to the recording material 19 by using the stationarily supported heating body 11 and the pressing roller 18 opposite to the body 11 and pressing the material 19 into close contact with the body 11 through the medium of the film 15, thus permitting a kind of cross-linking to be caused by reacting the binder resin with the organometallic compound, and consequently, wating time and power consumption to be reduced, and offset resistance and fixability to be enhanced. |
